Self-Inventory (continued)

Self-Inventory (continued)

When was the last time you took a self-inventory?

A self-inventory helps you get your life in perspective. Before we can fully live, we should take a self-inventory, a closer look at our lives to improve our plans for the future. A self-inventory is just looking inward and outward at where our life is heading. What can we do? First make a list of your strengths and your weaknesses, then ask God what He wants you to do with your life from this point on.

Taking a self-inventory of our lives will help us to know where we are coming from and where we are headed. Many people seem to drift by in life, making the same mistakes repeatedly, not learning or growing.

Taking a self-inventory of our life will help you examine your past, present, and future. Sit down quietly with God and write down on a piece of paper both the negative and positive things affecting your life.

Pray about it; reach out to someone you know who can give you some real insights and encouragement. God encourages us to look inward in order to identify areas of weakness so that we can address them. There are eight (8) Bible verses emphasizing the importance of examining ourselves.
