Saying Yes To God

Saying Yes To God

When you say yes to God unconditionally, you have no idea where that yes will take you.
Acting on God’s will, is like riding a bicycle, if you don’t keep moving you fall off. Saying yes to God is not about perfect performance, but about perfect surrender to the Lord, day by day.

A famous saying holds that people can be divided into three groups:

Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, those who wonder what’s happening.
Most people miss out on God’s best in their lives because they aren’t prepared. The Bible advises us to
be prepared continually. The apostle Paul exhorts us to be ready in season and out of season, 2 Tim.
4:2. Prov. 16:9 A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

When I am stuck in traffic, or the light takes too long to change or every light you come to turns red or
you have to detour or just encounter the little things, that annoys me. I think maybe this is exactly
where God wants me to be at this moment.

The next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can’t
find the car keys, and you hit every traffic light, or have to detour, don’t get mad or frustrated, God is at
work watching over you. There might be something ahead He wants you to avoid. He wants to direct
your path at the right time in the best direction. Prov. 3:5-6
