Real Life Change

Real Life Change

There are four principles that will help us to keep the process of spiritual life change alive in our lives:

Principle #1 – Lay claim to the promises of God

In other words, our first step in life change is not doing something but believing some things.

We must know and trust God, believing that He exists and that He rewards. – Heb. 11:6

We must believe that all things are possible with God. – Matt. 19:26

We must believe that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. – Phil. 4:13

We must believe that Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses and offers us mercy and help in our times of need. – Heb. 4:15-16

Principle #2 – Play on a new team

If extreme life-change is necessary, then very likely the team we were on was the  wrong one.

We must intentionally choose relationships that encourage and enable our longing to change.

We need to be closely connected with people who are going to help us reach our spiritual goals. Heb. 3:13; Gal. 6:1

Principle #3 – Walk in the Spirit

We must pray to be filled and to be controlled by the Spirit. – Rom. 8:6-14

Principle #4 – Stay in the game

The people who are successful, the people who experience lasting life change are those who refuse to stay down.

You must have the courage to refuse to quit. – Heb. 10:36; Heb. 12:1-3
