We all have moments when we don’t feel like praising and thanking God.
But what do we do with scriptures like Ephesians 5:20 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And 1 Thess. 5:18 – In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
How do we praise God when times get hard? Psalm 100 gives us some encouragement.
Vs. 1 – Make a joyful noise. Sometimes we just need to sing unto the Lord. Is there a favorite song you have when times get hard?
Vs. 2 – Serve the Lord with gladness. We should devote ourselves to his service and employ ourselves in it. Philippians 4:4 says – Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice.
Vs. 3 – Know the Lord. The word know means recognize or acknowledge.
Vs. 4,5 – The Lord is good. We can thank God that He is good and that His love endures forever. We can thank God for His mercy. We can thank God for all the things we take for granted.
